<p>I am currently a rising senior. I currently attend TJHSST</p>

<p>SAT I (breakdown): 2400 (retaken from 2380)
ACT: 36 (retaken from 35)
SAT II: 800 - Math II, Chemistry, Physics, US History, Korean</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA (out of 4.00): 3.72 freshman year / 3.96 Sophomore/4.0 Junior year.
so its something like 3.85 unweighted including freshman year, 3.98 without it.
Weighted GPA is 4.38 with freshman year, without it its 4.65</p>

APs: Compsci A, Calc BC, Biology, World History, USHistory, Chemistry, Physics C(E & EM), European History - All 5's</p>

<p>Senior Year Course Load: AP English Language, AP Music Theory, AP Government US, Complex variables/Differential Equations, Organic Chemistry, AMT (Advanced mathematic techniques for scientists and engineers), Geosystem Honors, Optics Research lab.
All of them are college level courses </p>

<p>Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): Intel Semifinalist, National Merit Semifinalist</p>

<p>My only question is... WILL MY GPA HURT ME? Its a bit low for princeton/Ivies, but would my test scores make it up?
Or will it not matter? Because i heard princeton does not consider freshman grades anyways...

<p>there’s no such thing as an intel semifinalist. there is intel (isef) finalist, and siemens semifinalist. </p>

<p>okay, intel STS and intel ISEF really need some separation. 300 sts semifinalists and 40 sts finalists every year right? pretty awesome</p>

<p>I’d say you’re in at all.</p>

<p>Write strong essays to offset what you describe as a “low GPA”, but either way you are strong matches for all the schools you have listed. If Princeton is your top choice, I’d say you made a wise decision…</p>
