Chance me for Princeton ED? Will Chance back if requested

I've already done a thread about this, but I'm looking for some more opinions:

Grades/Scores:
-3.9 GPA unweighted
-4.45 GPA weighted (out of approximately 4.75)
- Top 5 out of a 400 student class. My high school is top 10 in the state.
- 2250 SAT
- All honors/AP (highest possible level in every class)
- 5 APs so far. Three 5s and two 4s
- 6 APs senior year
- 10 college credits already through Project Lead the Way engineering courses

ECs:
- Varsity Letters in Cross Country, indoor track, outdoor track
- Cross country captain
- National Honors Society
- Junior Civitan Club
- School Newspaper
- School team leader for FIRST Robotics (prestigious international robotics competition between high schools)
- Youth group leader at my church:
~ a lot of community service including a 4 day mission trip to Boston every year
- State Finalist (top 100 but I finished in top 20) National Geographic Bee in 6th and 7th grade Not sure if this matters since it was pre-high school
- 100+ hours of community service not including overnight trips

Majoring in Civil Engineering

Applying to: Princeton (ED), Cornell, Penn, Columbia, Northeastern, Johns Hopkins, Penn State, UConn

I really want to go to Princeton. I visited the campus and sat in on classes, and I included my experiences in my essay. If you could chance me for the other schools as well, that would be great. Thanks!

What are your SAT subjects? Your GPA and SAT are strong, and APs could have been stronger. ECs are good too.

Princeton: Reach (just because it’s Princeton)
Cornell: High Match to Low Reach
Upenn: Reach
Columbia: reach
NE: Safety-low match
JHU: High Match
Penn State: Safety
UConn: safety

You’ve already chanced me I think lol

You have shot (as anyone with your stats/ECs does), but it is virtually impossible to chance people for a highly selective school with a holistic admissions process. There are just too many factors.

PS: You know that Princeton offers Single Choice Early Action, not Early Decision (and therefore is not binding), right?

Yes, I do, but both essentially tell the university that their school is your first choice.

Your stats are pretty average for Princeton applicants. You ECs seem standard but they have a lot of commitment, which helps. I suggest you condense your essays to focus mainly on your running, since you have three varsity letters, and on your community service. You seem like an “on the fence” sort of applicant where your biggest challenge will be to distinguish yourself from the 30,000 other applications. Do this through your essays.

Thanks Nihilus!

I have confidence that you can get into Princeton by writing great essays!
All the best!

Princeton (ED): High Reach
Cornell: High Match/Low Reach
Penn: Reach
Columbia: Reach
Northeastern: Match
Johns Hopkins: High Match
Penn State: Safety
UConn: Safety

I think I have to echo what people have said above. Academically you represent the average Princeton applicant. Your ECs (in my opinion) are a little less than average compared to the majority of Princeton applicants. SCEA will help, but it’ll be hard. Hopefully those essays were stellar! Best of luck!
