What are my chances at Purdue Engineering?

So nearly 200 people looked at this and either knew nothing about pursue admissions or just decided not to help me out. Please chance me.

Based on my knowledge (not as much as others so they can contribute their opinions and knowledge) your chances look a little low… Purdue engineering isn’t exactly a joke, it’s still a great engineering college that 3.2 GPA is a hurter, and a SAT over 2000 wouldn’t hurt! EC wise…Its decent, but nothing really stands out…the music is good if you compete or play in a band or do some stuff with school, or do you just piddle and take lessons and play? But truthfully I don’t see it happening…but i may be being harsh

Just so you know middle 50% SAT is 1710-2010 for engineering. Over 2000 would help, but I am pretty much 75th percentile. Also those scores are speculations. I get my results tomorrow and I would be astonished if I got below a 1900. I think ~2000 is right. Most likely less than 2100. What really is worrying me is my GPA. I have no idea how colleges will view it. I am hoping some will see that I am not the same student as I was freshman and sophomore year, and see the 3.7 UW junior year in a fairly rigorous schedule, though I can’t help but think a good amount of schools will say… 3.2 yuck… and reject me. Do you think I have a chance considering my trend?

The trend will help a ton, and if your first quarter grades for senior year reflect the trend it will help too! Keep that up and hope for that 2000 SAT and you’ll be great, I was replying late last night and I didn’t check your trend in GPA but seeing that helpa

I, unfortunately only got a 1900. (580 CR, 700 M, 620 W). I am taking the SAT 1 more time and I am also taking the ACT’s and think I have a shot at a 30+.

Also, EC Update:
I am doing a rowan summer engineering program and will likely do the drexel one also. In addition I forgot to mention sports. I have played a sport ever season so far during HS.

Now, I don’t know too much about Purdue, and the Engineering school might be much harder to get into than the main school, but from the looks of it you have a pretty good chance (based off of several websites). Like others have said, GPA is important, but junior and senior GPA has a greater weight, since they want to see an improving trend.

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, where is the info for this Rowan summer program? I’m looking for something to do over the summer that can boost my college apps (I’m a junior) but I couldn’t find anything from Rowan for high schoolers (is it incoming college Freshmen only?)?

Thanks, it is the Rowan RISE program.
