Chance me for Purdue

Hello,
After getting denied from GA Tech, I have decided to apply to some more colleges. I am wondering if I’m too late to get in at Purdue, I want to study Computer & Electrical engineering. I am OOS, born in the great state of Virginia, but I currently live in Slovenia, Europe.
Stats:
GPA: 4.1/5.0
Test Scores:
ACT Composite: 28 (29E, 33M, 26R, 25S, 20W)
SAT: 1900 (600R, 640W, 660M)

These stats aren’t very good, but from what I’ve seen, they kind match with some of Purdue’s stats (?)
I may be wrong, I have just started researching Purdue today, since I really want to study in the South, but seeing as I only got accepted to Texas Tech, I am now also looking at other options.
The reason I’m asking for this chance is because I’m applying REALLY late from what I can tell, right?
Anyway, thanks!

well purdue has such low socres and high acceptance rates becasue most applicants are in indiana. For you, tuition will be 3x the in state tuition, racking up to 30k a year.

I would say match, but you never know. Just know that purdue is ranked really high, and it’s incredibly competitive there. a 1900 and lowish gpa may not meet the standards of purdue but I would try.

chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/19164830#Comment_19164830 if you know USC lol

Sorry to hear about Georgia Tech! Your scores definitely match Purdue’s pretty well, and they have a great program. The acceptance rate of Purdue (I believe) is around 60%, so you have a very good shot. What sort of extracurriculars do you have? If you are worried about stats, they will bolster your application immensely, plus living in Slovenia will help. I say go for it!

I’m sorry to hear about Georgia Tech. If it makes you feel any better, the campus life there is supposed to be the worst. Purdue is also very competitive for OOS students, however, not so much for in state students. Purdue kind of categorizes competitiveness by major so I would say it will be a little tough for you to achieve an acceptance considering it’s really late for their rolling admissions, you’re OOS, and your stats are under their average.
However, you should definitely go for it! To earlier you apply, the better chance you will have because they are rolling admissions.

@theaussie @CEOSandeep @ikim16 Thanks to all of you, but I’m not that disappointed about GA Tech, it’s actually sad seeing much BETTER students than me being denied and deffered (35 ACT and 2300 SATs), besides I’d probably have to work REALLY hard at GA Tech for engineering, I’ve heard it’s quite a hard school. Anyway, thank to all of you for answering, I’ll apply today or tommorow.

@ikim16 I’d like to share my opinion about your chances for USC, but as I really want to study in the south, I never even considered California, so I don’t know any Californian schools. Thanks for your insight though!
