I am currently in my Junior Year. Please give me any advice on how to become a Questbridge Scholar. Thank you.

If I am not mistaken, Questbridge is a program for low-income students. From their website:
“Finalists typically come from households earning less than $65,000 annually for a typical family of four and have minimal assets. This is not a strict cut-off and we encourage students who feel they have faced significant financial hardship to review these financial criteria carefully to see if they may qualify.”

If your income bracket is in excess of 150,000 USD, I would say you simply don’t qualify for/are the intended recipient of the Questbridge program.

Most people who get the QB scholarships have a zero EFC even so , the chances are small

@nmanalil12 In addition to what others have pointed out, just making sure you realize the term "first gen " refers to students whose parents have not attended college, whether in US or abroad.

With your family income, you and your parents should sit down and crunch out numbers in net price calculators of colleges as to what is affordable. As an Asian American male, you are in a competitive demographic. You may be likely to get into a uni like BU,Northeastern,
etc., but it may or may not be affordable. Depends on what your parents have saved up.

If you are aiming for HYPSM, they will be reach schools , as they are for everyone. I have seen a lot of disappointment among my friends in the Indian American community regarding college admissions. Many have focused singularly on grades and test scores and have not put in equivalent effort in researching the admissions or financial process.
