Summer Programs:
This is a state-funded month-long program where I studied flight science at Appalachian State University for 4 weeks. I learned about the effects of air resistance and drag coefficient, as well as lift, thrust, and gravity, on the flight of a rocket in order to achieve maximum apogee and flight time. For my final product, I successfully designed a model rocket that achieved a maximum apogee of over 300 meters and a flight time of 26 seconds (this was completed through the use of a recovery system that deployed as predicted in test flights), as well as the composition of a paper that described the physics behind its construction and an in-depth analysis of the data

Anyone? I’ll chance back!

Honestly, I don’t think you have to worry at all. You will most probably get accepted ;)

you are def. in!

Phew! Haha good to hear some positive reinforcement after that Duke deferral…I’m just scared my C in AP Physics won’t come up…I’m so close but my teacher is so brutal it’s ridiculous.

Anyone else? I’ll chance back!

You definitely have the stats, just make sure you show interest in emory as the adcoms here are really concerned about admitting students that actually want to attend (as opposed to being a ivy reject).

Yeah I would definitely consider Emory if I was accepted. It’s reallyyyyy close to home so that’s a huge plus not to mention they’re huge on medicine and I want to be a doctor…

Bump please! I’ll chance back!

Definitely in!
How did you get the interships in neurology and cardio? I haven’t been able to get around the privacy issue (HIPA).
