I THINK my essays are pretty good, m yteachers eem to like them.

Cum Laude Society.
A.P. Scholar with Distinction
Some "Book Award" from an Ivy School - given from my school. Don't remember which one, ha

Also - Summer programs at Brown for 2 years, spent a summer at an NJ boarding school at a competitive, application-only program about Human Rights. I'm a first generation AMERICAN university student, not a complete first generation college student though.

I also have some work experience - I've been a part of my mother's small business since I was10, just learning some administrative tasks & how the business world works .

Strong standardized tests, great academics, good EC’s, and some work experience. I’d say you have a good shot. The key is to make sure your essays and the “student profile” you’re presenting in the application are authentic. Don’t just let your accomplishments speak for themselves; make sure that they show who you are (for example, someone who has a passion for writing).

I think you have a good chance, good luck:)
