Chance me for RD to UPenn? I'll chance back :)

Hi! So Upenn is one of my first choices, and I really want to know how my credentials match up with other applicants. Thanks!

ACT Composite (34)
Math-36, English-35, Reading-36, Science-28 Essay: 9

SAT Composite (2200)
English-780, Math-710, Reading-730

Subject tests- US History 790, Latin-780, Math II-750

APs- European: 5, Latin Vergil: 5, US History: 5, Language and Composition: 5

Current APs I'm taking this year: AP Environmental, AP Government, AP Literature, AP Calculus AB

Extracurriculars:
Varsity Volleyball all four years
Vice President of Student Gov
Editor in Chief of the Yearbook
Head of my school's version of National Honor's Society
Built a school in Nicaragua junior summer and Malawi last summer and member of the club to raise money for these trips over the school year
Coach's assistant for an eighth grade volleyball team

That’s a reach even so.

What is your GPA (both unweighted and weighted) and class rank?

Academically, you have what they look for (SAT, etc.) However, your ECs didn’t stand out from that list. Try to make them look unique!

Need to know rank and CR + M for for better guess, but here goes any ways.

If you are not a val or sal (or at least top 1%) and CR + M matches W, then Penn RD for you = reach (10 to 33%, and probably on the lower end of that) in my view due to Penn filling half the class ED (and thereafter reviewing all of the SCEA applicants who did not quite make it into HYP) and average curriculum at what looks like a pretty affluent school with lots of APs (no science AP or Calculus b/c). Very strong ECs (class VP and editor of yearbook are really good for one person no matter what others may think) and good SAT’s and SAT II’s put you in the mix though.

My average GPA on a 4 scale was a 4.4 weighted, 4.0 unweighted. Unfortunately, my school does not release class rank because there are only 15 people in the senior class.

Lol, with 15 people rank meaningless any ways. Good luck! You definitely have a shot and will almost surely get into a very fine school along the way even if not Penn.

haha I know. It’s a really small class. Thank you for you honesty! We will see :)

im applying to seas ED. do you think i have a shot as a women?

Reach, SAT and ACT need to be a tad higher, but resume is solid.

Chance me ?

I think you have a decent shot at penn, but, like others said, you seem a bit too much ivy-league. Your academics are extremely impressive(much better than mine) but your E.C. are a bit low; these schools want to see something that makes you stand out.

Chance me?

I’d actually put you higher than everyone else on here would…given that you’re going ED you should be good. I’d say like 70%, for what that’s worth? It really depends on how you’re portraying yourself, though. Your science ACT and math SAT/SATII scores are below your others, so if you’re looking for the sciences your chances probably aren’t as high. I don’t really know though…good luck! Maybe I’ll see you there!
