Hi everyone! NU is my first choice and I'm really desperate to know if I actually have a shot especially since I couldn't apply ED for financial reasons. Please chance me, thank you so much!!
SAT: wont't send, 2260 for reference
ACT: 34 (36 E, 34 M, 36 R, 31 S)
SAT II: 740 MII, 740 Lit
APs: 5 Calc BC, 5 English Lang
Grades: All As except 3 A- (Honors precal 1 sem, PE 1 sem and AP Calc BC 1 sem). I've taken AP/honors where possible except opting for regular US history instead of APUSH and regular chem instead of honors (both junior year) to reduce some of my load. My school is a fairly small private prep and pretty restrictive on how many honors/AP we can take anyway.
Senior courses: AP Comp Gov, Number Theory (MTH 344 or some such), AP Physics, AP Lit, AP Spanish (along with others like choir and theology)
Awards: NMSF, received $41500 in total grant money for my volunteer group that I co-founded last year, school-wide awards for English and Spanish, Navy ROTC Immediate Scholarship Reserve recipient
Recs: Both teachers (AP Lang and AP Calc BC) liked me a lot and I did very well in both of their classes, especially AP Lang.
Essays: Common app ones were very good with EC essay about my volunteer group, personal statement about family problems and additional info essay with rec from Newbery Honor winning author. The NU supplement I think is very good as well--I got it looked over by my AP Lit teacher who has crazy high standards and she had almost no edits to make. I talked a lot about how NU has the perfect combination of courses of study for me in a really specific way; I've clearly done my research and my voice comes through.
ECs: Co-founded a volunteer organization teaching science to underprivileged students (I have about a million volunteer hours from this haha, and featured in local news multiple times), school choir 4 years (earned varsity letter), selective independent choir 4 years (we sing with groups like the Symphony, Pink Martini etc), tae kwon do 3 years, El Salvador volunteer trip, Ignatian Teach-In at Georgetown, member of the leadership program at a camp for highly gifted youth, work experience at an IT consulting firm for two summers as a receptionist and finance intern, NHS, SNHS Activities Officer
Other: I skipped a grade, pretty unusual/extenuating family circumstances as well
Likely major: I want to double major in Physics/Astronomy and Radio/TV/Film.

Thank you so much for your help!!
