Chance Me for RD

Hey,

I was deferred from Penn Arts and Sciences ED, so I've become interested in Emory, especially for their business school (I know you don't apply directly). Tell me what you think, please.

cough cough

As long as your essays are decent, I’d say you’ve got a good chance. (Though Emory does occasionally reject people with great stats for seemingly arbitrary reasons.)

Thanks for the feedback, but I assume it might be because they’d think I’m using them as a backup, so why waste an acceptance.

Unless you somehow indicated you’re only applying as a backup, you’ll be treated like any other Emory applicant. Writing is pretty much ignored, so you have a 1480 SAT, which is good, but not obviously way above Emory so much that they think you’re using them as a backup.

I don’t remember the exact person (steven something I think), but a ED I applicant on CC with scores above the average and good ECs and everything was rejected for seemingly no reason. :-/

Top 20’s are a crapshoot. Nothing’s guaranteed.
