Hey, I have been looking at Reed for a little bit and I applied to the Reed Overnight Multicultural Experience trip and got accepted but the ROME application didn’t really get a good look at me as a complete applicant. Can someone please chance me?

Are you going to ROME? Ask this question of the people who know.
I would say you have a good chance based on test scores; not so sure based on GPA. Your GPA parenthetical is a bit troubling. It makes it sound as though you got As without any effort and then struggled at a challenging school. That does not say Reed material to me. Ethnicity, ECs and STEM interest are good.
Hey @AboutTheSame Could you chance me? Im an international student needing a LOT of aid…will apply ED2
GPA: 3.95
ACT: 33
SAT 2: Phys and Math2 this november (expecting anywhere above 750 in both)
ECs:
Founder of debate club in school, VP
Worked as content contributor in 3 journalist firms
Was in school’s math and debate team that won many regional and nationwide competitions
around 100 volunteering hours
and some others…
Recs: Awesome
Essays: shows a lot of passion for physics…averagish I guess.
Your stats should get you serious consideration. I’m not up on how much need for FA factors into decisions. Just out of curiosity, what type of debate? I think Reed does parliamentary rather than cross-X if that matters.
