hey guys, im an international student from the middle east
im originally asian, and would like to know my chances for columbia</p>

<p>GPA: 3.93</p>

<p>SAT: First: CR: 460, M: 760, W: 610 = 1830
Second: CR: 680, M: 640, W: 780 = 2100
SUPERSCORE: 2220
SAT2: Math2: 790
Physics (November): expecting anywhere from a 700-800</p>

<p>APs: Microeconomics (5), Macroeconomics (4), Statistics (5)
This year: Calculus BC, Physics B, Chemistry, European History</p>

<p>ECs: Cricket captain (6 years club, 2 years international); 1st place regionally. 2nd place internationally
Basketball (4 years); 1st place regionally, 3rd place in an international tournament
Website Designing (since middle school); have designed 3 pretty well-known websites
MUN (4 years); president of economic & social commission, ambassador
INJAZ (Small business competition); president and financial director of company
Amnesty international (2 years); vice president and activities director
NHS (2 years); member and head of tutoring</p>

<p>I think the lower math score in your 2nd SAT may bring you down a bit.</p>

<p>Having said that, I think you have an okay chance. What’s your courseload like? Also, will you be applying for financial aid? I know that international students have need-based admission.</p>

<p>His SAT math won’t bring him down, Columbia will only look at the 760. Like has been said before, colleges want to publicize a stronger class, and thus if he is admitted, will report the 760 over the 640.</p>

<p>If you can write a good essay, I think you have a decent shot.</p>

<p>what about now with an updated act score of 33 and a 700 on the physics subject test?</p>
