Chance me for Rice and Notre Dame

Hey guys!

Well first, let me say I am a junior in high school who is interested in a medical profession (some kind of doctor). I would REALLY appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice on how to further better my chances with this summer and the first half of my senior year.

Rank: 1/327
ACT: 32 (gonna get it up to a 33 or 34 hopefully)

Race: White (Russian)
State: Nebraska

School ECS:

Science Club- Prez and Founder (11,12)
Olympus Club- Member (9-12)
FBLA- (9-12) (Treasurer 10,11...hopefully officer senior year...but it might b dicey)
AcDec- Team Captain this year and prbly next year (10-12)

Awards/Honors
-Selected/Attended Nebraska State Leadership Seminar as a Sophomore
-Sophomore year- 2nd place in state at Nebraska Finance Challenge
-Junior year- 3rd at economic challenge state regionals and we got 1st in state (we are flying out to houston for free to compete at regionals later this april)
-4th in state in cyber security at FLBA state seminar and qualified for nationals
-Won quite a few regional competitions for Acdec
-Science Olympiad- won a few regional medals..should do well at state next week
-Couple Quiz Bowl and Speech Team awards
-I was in band freshman year and won a couple of competitions
-Atleast commended for National Merit (should be NMSF though...cuz my score has been higher than any previous state cutoff)

I know I don't have many awards. I was ignorant of the college selection process for a while (I thought test scores and grades were all that mattered), so I am trying to get as many as I can before apps are sent in. Next year, because of me, my school will be administering USABO and National Latin exams, but, again, those awards really don't count for schools. This summer I am also going to be doing the Avi writing contest...which is pritty prestigious if my some miracle I win something there.

ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO BETTER MY CHANCES AT RICE would be REALLY appreciated!!

Thanks for your time,
Robbie

You don’t need to worry too much, you’re definitely doing great. Rice will more than likely accept you. Your ECs are strong, your ACT above average and you’re ranked number 1… impressive.
