Bump!

!!!

No matter what I do,

I cant stop thinking about you!~

Your scores and GPA really are great. Though, you’re semi-right about your ECs. They don’t SUCK, they’re just not all that extensive. Admissions decisions will really depend on whatever it is the school ends up emphasizing, though be sure to let them know you had an illness that prevented you from completely engaging in extracurricular involvement.

I’d say that UVa and UT-Austin are pretty much on the safe side. (I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into them.) From there, you’re statistically in the range for all these other schools. However, the take each AC has on the EC situation will depend. For instance, I’d say UChicago, UCLA, UPenn, etc. are all low to mid-range reaches.

Hope I helped!
Here’s mine: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1021592-freaking-out-just-applied-ea-uchicago-could-someone-please-gauge-my-chances.html

No, I cant stop, cant stop!

Bump

Goodbye, so long, nice try, im gone

The moon represents my heart…

Why wouldn’t anyone chance me? ;-;

Rice- high reach
Berkeley- mid reach (assuming OOS) low reach (if in state)
Duke- high reach
Univ of Penn- high reach
UCLA- low/mid reach (assuming OOS) (high match if in state)
University of Chicago- high reach
Univ of Texas at Austin- match
University of Virginia- low/mid reach (assuming OOS)
Dartmouth- high reach
John Hopkins- reach

Your test scores, EC’s, and lack of leadership will not make you as competitive as many of the applicants at the reach schools on your list. Your list is a little top-heavy and could use another match or two. Make sure you also have at least one safety school and/or a financial safety, just in case.

Rank and GPA is great, you need to retake the SAT. ECs are not spectacular. I really hope your essay was about your illness (and implies that it sort of messed you up in the beginning of HS EC-wise). You have pretty good community service hours. I wouldn’t say your chances are excellent at, say, Dartmouth or Rice, but I’m sure you’ll get in to the state schools. Good luck!
