Chance me for:
Duke, Rice (Applying ED), Tufts, Johns hopkins, Vanderbilt, Utexas, and UT engineering honors college, UVa, Laffayette, George Washington, USC, Case Western Reserve University

Thank you, and I will chance back if asked.

Duke - match
Rice - match
UT (both) - match
UVa - match
Tufts - match
Johns Hopkins - match, but you need to take the ACT (its required)
Vanderbilt - match, but you need the ACT
Laffayette - not sure
George Washington - match, need ACT
USC - not sure
Case Western Reserve University - match, need ACT

it looks like you have nothing to worry about. Really. Your scores are good, you have a lot of community service, your taking a pretty rigorous course load and aappear to be making good grades. National Merit status will only help you further. Just make all the things you haven’t done or asked for yet really good, and you should be golden. =)

Grades are good enough.
Your ECs seem to focus on sports and community services, so make sure you explain your passion! =D I think you may want to have more leadership experiences for Duke…but the rest are match.

Duke - match
Rice - match
UT - match
UVa - match
Tufts - match
Johns Hopkins - high reach but I think you will get in due to your EC
Vanderbilt - match
Laffayette - low reach for you
George Washington - safety

Case Western Reserve University - never looked into this school

“School chamber choir through high school”
If you’re male that’s most likely a hook :)

I’d say all are matches except GW which is a low match/safety. I don’t see why anyone would make any of these reaches (besides the ones that are reaches for EVERYONE, even the 2400 applicant) since you have a 2300 SAT score (which is above the 99th percentile), top 5% of your class AND pretty nice ECs. I think as long as you write a great essay you are very very competitive at ALL of them! I might even go as far as to call UT (not honors) a safety as well. I just hope that your 6 APs would be almost exhausting your HS curriculum. In my school, 6 is a LITTLE low but I don’t know your school.

thanks for the chance, yeah 6 is pretty high at our school, doesn’t exhaust all options, but since you can’t start any until junior year, and even then you only have a few open (unless you have taken very specific prereqs), so I would say 6 APs, and all others honors is about as good as it gets at my school, (though i do know a couple kids with one or two more. However, I think once you get over 6-7 it just gets a little excessive, unless your really interested in all of the aps)

Should I say im in it two years? I just got accepted, but its april of junior year. Can I get away with sayng ive been in it Junior and senior year?

Besides Lafayette (I’m not too familiar with their scoring requirements and all that) I think you have very stable stats and would be an easy match for all the schools you listed. Great SAT scores already push you ahead :)

sorry the only one I could really give you a realistic sense of is UVA. My mom went there so I was able to get an interview and the woman told me that basically they reject people with perfect SATs and grades out of state. They said that they are looking for creative essays and As from freshman to senior year, 3 SAT IIs, and strong extracurriculars

Duke, Rice (Applying ED), Tufts, Johns hopkins, Vanderbilt, Utexas, and UT engineering honors college, UVa, Laffayette, George Washington, USC, Case Western Reserve University

All in all, you have a great high school resume here. Your Gpa is good, your SATs are great (though you should take the ACT) and your ECs are excellent. One suggestion I could make, however, is to put a bit more arts emphasis in your ECs.

As far as I can see, you have all good matches except for Lafayette. For that one, maybe a high match. Your SATs should definitely help you, though
