I also don't know if being from the mid-west helps with Rice and Tufts since it's the least represented region at both schools?

Race, and income bracket, please

I’m African American
My mom makes 100k but i don’t see how that helps considering all of these schools practice need blind admissions…

Need blind means that they will let accept you, regardless of what financial aid you’ll require.

If a student has a low income but is still performing at an exceptionally high level, that’s to his or her advantage.

Your EC’s look good, not excellent. Maybe if you had a bit more description. For example, what are your roles in the plays? How many have you been in? Are you stage manager or an actor?
I don’t know why everyone thinks NHS is amazing, but colleges could not care less. They don’t want to see you fall into some previously established organization, but rather establish something yourself. If you aren’t president, it won’t matter. Meaning don’t fret if you aren’t elected.
What does your French club do? It’s not the name of the activity, but what you’ve done in it that matters…
MUN president? awesome! Any awards to back that up?
My point is this: you can’t list EC’s and expect that we can gauge their competitiveness. Like I said above, it’s the details that matter, not the names. From my pov right now, they look good, but not amazing.

Upward trend is always good. That being said, keeping grades at a high caliber is better. However, what you have looks fine as well.

You ACT is a bit low for these schools. If you want a good shot, I’d aim for a HIGH 32 (meaning average of 32 flat or 32.25). I think a 33 is preferable, though.

Have you taken any subject tests?

I would say Rice and UChicago are mid reaches and Tufts is a high match/low reach.
