chance me for rice, upenn, northwestern

My biggest worry is my GPA, I did pretty badly my freshman/sophomore year but I tried to bring my gpa up my junior year. There's a clear upward trend throughout all semesters of high school. Current senior grades are lookin like a 3.95 uw and a 4.71 weighted.

Intended major: molecular/cell biology

SAT: 2100/2400 (1440/1600) (750 CR 690 M 660 W)
ACT: 34 (32 english/writing)
SAT2's: 690 Physics 730 MAT2
GPA: 3.62 Unweighted, 3.97 weighted (we use the +/- system)

GPA w/ tentative 1st semester senior year: 3.67 unweighted, 4.06 weighted

Clubs:
Speech and debate (varsity member, co-captain, participated in all of high school)
National Honors Society
Spanish Honors Society
Diplomatic Corp. (shadow program)
Literary arts magazine committee (1 year)

Volunteer Work:
Over 200 hours volunteering at a suicide hotline
Spent 80 hours tutoring children over a summer
Kino Border Initiative (went to mexico to work at a soup kitchen for 1 night)
Other small things that probably add to around 30-40 hours of work

Awards:
Has won multiple debate tournaments
3rd at State
Co-Champion at the National Qualifier and qualified to nationals.
Top 60 at the national debate tournament
AP Scholar w/ honor
Outstanding distinction (2nd highest distinction awarded)

Internship: Intern w/ democratic party in my state 2 months, 10 hours a week, campaigned for state senators.

Coursework: I've taken 9 AP's total and the rest have been Honors when they can be. I've taken pretty much the most difficult courseload possible at my school.

Essays: My commonapp essay is really good (probably one of the best things ive ever written). My rice supplements will be good (it's my #1 pick out of the 3 colleges), and I interviewed with a rice alumni and that went really well.

Please chance me for rice, upenn, and northwestern. thanks so much!

Idk anything about rice but the other two are reaches.

Even Rice is a reach; what are your safeties?

Rice is a low reach for you. Assuming your interview did go well, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in. Other two are reach.

Chance me…http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1417488-chance-cmu-jhu-nyu-umich-cwru.html

I don’t mean to put down all of your service hours and stuff, but your ECs are pretty mediocre for those schools. I think that they are impressive, but rice, northwestern, and u penn probably will not. Your ACT is good, but if you have time, try to bring up your SAT and SAT subject tests. And GPA needs to be higher.
I think that they are all reaches, but good luck! Hope you get in!

thanks everyone, im probably not going to be retaking the sat or any of the subject tests, and there isnt much i can do in terms of my gpa other than maxing out this semester.

anyway thanks everyone! glad to hear its a low reach if my interview went well.

oh! and my safeties are ASU, Tulane, and Santa Clara

If you are ranked highly (top 5%), GPA is not the most important measure. You may be able to get into Rice with a strong interview.
