I know its a reach for pretty much everyone, and my grades are not as good as those who usually do get in but I’m counting on their holistic review process to show them I’m worth acceptance. My gpa is around 3.7, class rank is 60 which is top ten percent, I’ve taken 4 AP classes, I have hundreds of hours in volunteer work with my mom’s church group and dog rescue group, and I have had a job since junior year and work a lot because of my families financial situation. I went on a tour there and had an interview with an admissions counselor so I think that could help. I just want to know if its too crazy to think I could get in by showing them my character to make up for my less than Rice average grades. I’m going to be applying early decision too, so I’m pretty much submitting it tonight or tomorrow. Any last second advice on my essays, responses, and box would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
At this point there’s nothing you can do except wait and see. You have a chance but brace yourself because as you already know the vast majority get rejected.
Test scores are pretty relevant.
