bump bump bump bump

Very impressive, you would likely get accepted!

Those are some solid stats, but the Ross Pre-admit profile is fairly intense. I say you have a good chance, but by no means are you a guaranteed admit. I think both you GPA and ACT fall short of the median.

I wouldn’t say you ‘would likely get accepted’. Miw is clueless.
I’d say you have a chance, but definitely not above 50/50.
Check the admitted students profile, as Infinit pointed out your ACT falls below the average and your PSAT would indicate your SAT would be welllllll below the average.
I know tons of kids with better stats that got rejected.

I think this link says it all.

<a href=“Bachelor of Business Administration | Michigan Ross”>http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/BBA/BBAClassProfiles_2010.pdf

Anyone care to shed any light on “preferred admission”?

I thought the link provided in post #6 was pretty clear:

1,283 applied
332 admitted
25% acceptance rate
Mid 80% High school GPA 3.75-4.7
Average high school GPA 4.11
Average SAT (CR + M) of admitted students 1492
Average ACT of admitted students 33

What insight are you looking for? I would say that most successful applicants have well communicated their reasons why they wish to study Business and have, in many instances, had significant work experience. In short, only Wharton and perhaps Sloan are harder to get into than Ross preadmit.

What’s your weighted GPA so it can be compared with link supplied by Alexandre?

Your chances for:
UMich - LSA : match
UMich - Ross : reach

In addition you will need business orientated extracurriculars, something you really lack. I would recommend joining or starting a business club. Does your school offer AP Economics? If not I would highly consider self-studying for one or both the exams. It would look great if this summer you were able to land a respectable internship and/or got a job related to the business major you’re considering, accounting. I’m sure you can find quite a few local accountants and ask them if you can do a paid/unpaid internship after school and/or this summer.

By preferred admission I meant admission into Ross as a freshman rather than transferring into it sophomore year.
