Chance me for Rutgers University New Brunswick SAS

So, so far here are my stats:

SAT : 1000 (510 Reading and 490 Math)
GPA : Weighted is 4.14 and Unweighted is 4.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Class rank: #1 (Valedictorian)
Come from Paterson, NJ

Loads of ECs, volunteering hours, and community service.

I know my SAT isn’t so high, however, with my GPA and ECs, would it balance out and would I get accepted? I really want to major in Information Technology and this campus is my dream campus.

Also, I’m taking the November 5th SAT tomorrow so I’m hoping to increase a little bit more. However, can you guys please chance me with what I have so far? Thanks!

I don’t think you should be worried. I know many people who got into SAS with 2.7 GPAs. The truth is that almost everyone gets into SAS. The SAS acceptance rate is high because they have 96 majors to fill in. It’s not like the pharmacy school that has only one major, or the business school which has 6 majors and make them more competitive to enter.

You should be fine. Anything above a 900 is good enought as long as you have confidence. Good Luck my friend!

SAT: 1160
GPA: 3.1 unweighted, 3.4 weighted
I’ve applied for rutgers business school and sas and i did early action as well but for the needed credentials, I submitted the eof application late and i still didn’t get a notice from them yet so I’m worried

@mialiu I did regular decision for New Brunswick and got admitted on Jan 8th. My GPA was a 3.8 along with a 1280 on my SAT. The chances of admission varies depending on the campus you want to get in to. The hardest should probably be New Brunswick followed by similar ranges for Camden and Newark. You should prob be good enough to get in to Camden and Newark. Good luck!

I think you might not get accepted because your stats are too good. This is because the people who look at your application will think that you applied to many other great school because of your stats, they will think Rutgers is your safety school just in case if you don’t make it in your other colleges. But i do think you are eligible for Honors in Rutgers.
