Chance me for SCS?

<p>Hi, I just wanted to know where I stood and what I could expect if I were to apply to CMU.</p>

<p>I'm a Junior at public school in Orangeburg NY</p>

<p>Ethnicity: White</p>

<p>GPA: Weighted on a 100 point system: 101.1, Unweighted around 96 so a 4.0</p>

<p>SAT: 680 Math, 680 Reading, 680 Writing- I took it cold and will take it again and I expect about 10-20 points better on both reading and writing and a 760+ on math.</p>

<p>SAT Subject tests:
Biology- 730 Freshman year
Math I- 740 Sophomore year
World History- 750 Sophomore year
Will take: Math II and Physics</p>

<p>Courses I have or will have taken:
AP classes: World History, US History, Statistics, Physics B, Physics C<em>, Computer Science A, Calc BC</em>, Economics<em>, Psychology or Environmental Science</em> (Which ever fits/would look better)

<p>So... Could I get in? What could I work on to increase chances? I will visit the school this spring.</p>

<p>You have a chance but not a high chance. Admissions is extremely competitive. Your biggest weakness in my opinion are your test scores. Even if you manage to make the increase that you expect, your test scores would be below average. Your score in all three parts of the SAT would be in the bottom 25 quartile (720 V, 780 M, 720 W).</p>
