<p>The surprise would be that you weren’t admitted, particularly if you apply ED.</p>

<p>They are expecting over 7000 applications for the 140 spots in SCS this year. You do the math. It’s a high reach for anyone.</p>

<p>Wouldn’t be surprised if you were rejected, tbh. You’re obviously very smart but nothing stands out as “wow”. More qualified applicants have been rejected. What I’m saying is: your odds are as good as anyone’s. You’re definitely a very competitive applicant, but nothing screams “shoe-in”.</p>

<p>@sockersocket‌ yeah, you are definitely right about that…I am hoping that my success during cmu pre-college will bolster my application enough…(it certainly helped me express interest in my essay) </p>
