I forgot to mention some things in my app like peer tutoring and 220 hours of community service because I rushed it. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt me. My main essay is mediocre/average to good and people said my Penn essay was a 10/10.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

bump. anyone?

bump. can someone can chance me?

I’m actually kind of curious about this too because I feel like I’m pretty similar to you. Indian, 2140, 3.8 GPA from a really difficult private school, 5’s on 3 AP tests, a community service award from my school, mediocre common app essay, pretty awesome supplemental essay, decent ECs. Looking at BME :P

whoa your situation is pretty similar to mine, though I’ve heard upenn’s BME is quite a bit more competitive.
After taking the subject tests today I’m pretty sure I got an 800 math and a 700ish physics (hoping it’s not less than 700). Someone chance me please?

I’m sure someone here can satisfy me by replying

Can someone actually reply after 400+ views? I managed to add the missing things to my application without ****ing the admissions office off… x.X

Did you apply ED, or are you asking for RD? Since it’s SEAS, I think it’s a tad easier than CAS.
If you applied ED, it’s a high match. If you will apply RD, low-mid reach.

I’d say you have a good change of being admitted. Your GPA and SAT scores are about what I had and your ECs seem more impressive. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses guys and yeah I’m applying ED. Will it matter that most of my ECs aren’t engineering related?

Chance me with these subject test scores please

Math II: 800
Physics: 690 :(

Getting 690 on your Physics SAT 2 neither helps nor hurts you.
Calm down.

As I tell everyone, unless you have something in your app that says WOW I feel ED is a stretch. RD you will be competitive.

From personal experience, I had absolutely no engineering or science related ECs. But you have robotics and math club, so that’s only going to help you.

As for the SAT II scores, just remember to look at things in perspective. It’s definitely not a big part of the admissions process, more of a way for CollegeBoard to suck more money out of you. Your scores, particularly Math II, will not hurt you!

@GOPTexas isn’t UPenn SEAS a little different though? I would assume its advantageous to apply early, since not many people do…

@Californian Great to hear feedback from someone who got in. Would you mind posting your stats, it would be pretty useful for people who check this thread.

bumppppppp

bump again

just wondering, where did u show passion toward engineering in your app? it seems to me that most of your ECs are related to finance, so i suppose u stand a better chance at applying for Wharton

^ya, what paragon said.

Why not M&T? Because, I’m telling you, once you get here, if you have an interest in finance, then there’s a lot of temptation to apply to Wharton.

I’m hoping it isn’t too bad that my strong EC’s aren’t engineering related. I tried to show how computer science related to them in my supplement  ha I didn’t think I was a strong enough candidate for M&T but I like computer science so I don’t know if I’d try switching into Wharton if I get in.

Can anyone else chance me? Since it’s hard to find, my subject test scores are 800 Math II and 690 Physics.

hey, u hav decent SAT scores… unlyk me 2090 :‘(
btw, i’m form india too… (indian citizin in india)
i ws also thinkin abou penn…
although i gt perfect scores in SAT2 PCM…
but my SAT 1 is sooo baddd… :’(
nyway, best of luk…!!
