GPA: 3.3 UW
SAT: 2040 (730 CR, 620 M, 690 W)
Extracurriculars: 2 years SADD, 2 years Student Council, 2 years Campus Ministry, work 32 hours a week
Major: Nursing
Academics: honor roll, National Commended Scholar

All my classes are honors level. I am also taking AP English and AP Psych next year.

I’d say your chances are very good. I’m a current freshman nursing major. I had more activities, but my SAT was lower (1980). My GPA was the same. I’m also from the Boston area.

How do you like it over there?

dessie,
I think you are a fairly strong candidate for Simmons. Excellent SAT scores, although your GPA seems a little low compared to your SAT scores. Does your high school grade particularly harshly?

It’s perfectly fine that you don’t have a long list of activities since you work 32 hours a week. Admissions counselors recognize the dedication and responsibility necessary to work and do well in school and will not expect you to have a long list of EC’s.

Please pay no attention to arrogant fools like “migraine.” He or she clearly knows absolutely nothing about Simmons. Simmons has graduated many incredibly talented and successful women, women who have risen to the top of fields such as business, education, advertising, finance, medicine and more.

Sorry, actually just saw your post! Yeah, my school is actually incredibly harsh-my 3.3 puts me in the top 30 percent.

what do you think is the minimum SAT score to get into Simmons? I’m applying too for fall 2014
just took my SAT a few days ago. hope it turns out well!
