lol nilufer, looks like we’re applying to same colleges. I remember chancing you for UF.

You have great ECs. What makes it good is that it is small in quantity but you have made excellent achievements in them. I think you have more of a chance at Boston than UF because BU is a little less selective and I somehow feel that Boston puts more emphasis on your ECs and achievements unlike UF, which has a weird and unpredictable admissions system.

Overall, I would say that you’re match/slight reach for BU. Good luck!

haha yeah I remember you of course ill chance you back:)
and thanks for the comments. well I wanna get into UF more cuz Im in-state there so it’d be a lot better for my family but for business, BU has more to offer.

Exactly my thoughts. Both BU and UF are excellent schools, but BU has a special appeal to me. There are so many opportunities at Boston, but BU is very expensive. The only factor that makes UF a first choice for me is its low in-state tuition.

Nice. I also applied for SMG but Im doing Entrepreneurship. Pretty much your stats and my stats are pretty similar but my SAT I score is slightly higher. Nevertheless, I think you have a good chance cuz of the ECs.

i don think u have avery good shot honeslty

first of all u have only 3.2 UW gpa out of 4.0 which is hella low for BU

second BU don’t care about .E.C.'s that much

third: ur subject tests SAT math 1 is not allowed anymore and ur subject for math 1 is superlow , suoper low and math 1 is gonna be discontiued at every skool

thanks sat4lyfe for your comments. Its nice to have different kind of opinions.
Well i already sent my math 1 so there’s nothing that ı can do about that. i know its pretty low and I scored no less than 700 in all the practice tests that I took in my tutor’s offivce but i had a time issue during the test and had to leave last 7 questions blank. you can see that its nearly the same score with level 2 which is a harder test. anyways, I know that my UW gpa is pretty low but its pretty good when compared to a student who takes 4 or more APs with higher gpa because im a full IB diploma candidate.
other than that, ı dont know BU’s stand on ECs but im just hoping that they do pay attention to personal achievements.

any other comments?? thank you all again (:

The fact that you’re living in Turkey with nice ECs will probably help… Your stats are much lower than average for BU, in both GPA & SATs. The 3.2 is particularly low. I think with a good essay and the international factor, you still have a decent shot, at least at CGS.
