Chance me for Smith (and other consortium colleges)?

I’ve been looking into Smith college and I love it!!

  • white female, from Maryland.
  • gpa: 3.96 unweighted, about 4.2 weighted
  • sat: 1500 (waiting to hear on scores for Math II, English, and Chemistry subject tests, but they'll all be over 650 definitely)
  • act: 33
  • Class rank: top 10% definitely, probably top 5%. My school doesn't rank juniors.
  • All honors and AP, US History 4, US Government 4, took Chem, Psych, Lit, and World History this year, probably all 4's and 5's, and I'm planning to take Comp Sci, Environmental Science, and Lang next year, as well as taking Intro to Statistics and Philosophy at my local community college.

EC’s:

  • Tutoring Sophomore/Junior year
  • Student government (staff appreciation chair this year, recording secretary next year)
  • Unified bocce Junior/Senior year
  • I plan on starting and running a GSA (gender-sexuality alliance) next year. I don’t know if it will be too late to have much of an effect on my applications, it’ll be running by the end of September hopefully.

Total about 230 hours of volunteering. About 110 hours of volunteering at my church’s Vacation Bible School, helping in kitchens and supervising kids. 48 hours of supervising kids at another summer camp. This summer I’m helping at my local community college’s “College for Kids” program, probably something to do with engineering or chemistry, that’ll be another 25 hours. About 30 hours at my local food table. Some random stuff too.

Pretty good recs/essay

I plan on majoring in Computer Science.

I know my EC’s are really weak, but I hope my scores will make up for it. I’m mostly interested in Smith, but I’d love to hear about the other four colleges too, particularly Amherst. Thank you!!

Forgot to mention, I also work part time at Rita’s (an ice cream shop) about 10-15 hours a week. Don’t know if that has any effect :-/
