I have applied to Smith ED I and was wondering what you all think of my chances...</p>

<p>SAT score= Math=650 Verbal=760 Writing=730 total= 2170
Cumulative GPA= 4.8
Honors and AP's=
- AP Biology (5)
- AP Chemistry (4)
- AP English Language (5)
- AP US History (4)
- will take in May:
- AP English Literature
- AP Calculus BC
- AP Spanish Language
- AP Physics
- Honors US History
- Honors Math</p>

<p>Awards= Highest GPA in High School (grade 10), Science Award (grade 10), National Merit Scholar Commended (grade 11)
Carrer Interest= Biology, Medicine</p>

<p>Other:
- Club Swimmer and Captain of High School team (being recruited by Smith)
- Advocacy for LGBT equality
- Internship with local lifeguards (100+ hours)
- Co-President of GSA</p>

<p>Unweighted my GPA is 4.0
As for ECs:</p>

<p>I have been swimming for 6 years and I swim 18 hours each week, the LGBT advocacy is an ongoing and sporadic participation, My internship with the Lifeguards lasted all of last summer and was more than 100 hours, the GSA is every other week plus planning time, I have also blogged for Huffington Post and written for my school newspaper…</p>

<p>You are right in range of Smith. ED will definitely help. What about your essays? You have strong ECs, and that will help. I’d say is a match-high match for you. Good luck.</p>
