Student Leader in my church youth group. This position includes planning events and mentoring underclassmen.
Have done several mission trips with youth group as well, including 3 to Tijuana (Building Houses) and 1 to LA, as well as some local service work, so I have 150+ hours Community Service hours.
Have made a couple short films, and do a lot of photography on my own.
Essay/LOR’s will likely be great.

Prospective major: Trying to decide between a Film Production, Business, or English Major. I know film majors are very competitive so still trying to decide whether I want to do it that badly.
Family income $200,000+
Prospective Schools:
USC (I know it’s a super reach)
Vanderbilt (Probably won’t even apply, know my chances are slim to none but I do have legacy there if that counts for anything)
LMU
Chapman
Occidental
Pepperdine (Maybe)
SCU
USD
UT Austin
U of Miami
Plus a few Safeties (Redlands, Willamette, U of Denver)
Any other suggestions would be great!

I would not apply to Vanderbilt or USC. To even be considered, you would need a 32+ or a 1400+, extremely large jumps in your scores. I would focus on Occidental, Chapman, and Pepperdine.

Both Chapman and LMU are great for film, and it looks like you have a decent shot at both.

I think that you have very solid ECs but your GPA might be a problem for top schools. You should definitely try to get at least 1400 on the SAT. Also did you take any subject SATs? Because strong scores on those are good supplemental information.
