I’ll chance the ones I’m aware of:
Rutgers - NB (Legacy) -In
Northeastern -in
Boston University -In
Boston College - Possibly in? Depends what school, I think. try retaking the SATs again, or see what you get on your ACTs
University of Maryland - College Park -In

I think you’ve got a lot safeties and matches, although it does depend on the type of high school you attend. Why not take a look at Tufts or University of Rochester–they’re also near urban areas. Or just schools in New York in general, there’s lots of schools there. Lehigh also does fairly well in Engineering. I’m not sure what kind though…

Boston College would probably be arts and sciences, although I might not, because of the fact that they don’t have their engineering school. I just liked their campus.

You really should aim higher,
all the school you mentioned above are definitely safeties and matches. I would aim for a top tier school if I were you!!!

Bucknell, Holy Cross(near Boston)

I guess I doubt myself for these higher institutions because of: my low critical reading score, and the fact that I did manage to get in, without the chances of merit based aid, I may not be able to pay for the school based on how much my family makes.

Suggest looking into Georgetown, Tufts, and Holy Cross.

Why aren’t you looking at better schools? You have a spectacular GPA and above average SAT scores.

I’ll definitely take a look into Gtown, Holy Cross, and Tufts.

Do you guys think Cornell is too far of reach?

yooooooooooo.
bump it up.

if you can increase ur sat by 100+ ish and write a nice essay u have a shot
im from a canadian prep school and a guy from my school got accepted to
cornell with
91/100 gpa which is like 30th out of 100 in my school =)

good luck i think u ahve great chances!

so, I’ve decided to bump again since it has gotten to the point where I need to start all of my apps and whatnot. My final list is as follows: rutgers, Drexel, northeastern, Boston university, Cornell, tufts, Miami, notre dame, Penn state (honors).

any last minute opinions? and I apologize for the wonky capitalization, I’m on my iPod so it’s doing as it pleases at the moment.
