Chance me for some elite schools?

So...
After reading the many insightful comments people tend to give on this website, I thought that I'd give it a try. The basics on me: I'm a white guy at a top public school looking to get into some elite schools to study engineering, business, or some kind of science. One of my parents has a graduate degree. Please chance me, I'll chance back!

PSAT:
237

SAT:
2330 (single sitting, sophomore year): 780 M, 770 CR, 780 W

SAT ii:
800 Math 2
800 US history
800 Chem

AP:
5's on APUSH, Calc BC, Chem, Physics C Mech, English language, all junior year

Academic Record:
GPA: 5/5 weighted, 4/4 unweighted
Classrank: Not published or sent to colleges, but likely top 2 or 3, as I have had all A's in all marking periods of every class
Courseload: All honors classes freshman and sophomore year (AP's are taken extremely rarely as an underclassman at my school), 5 AP's and French honors junior year. Senior year, will be taking AP Stat, AP Gov, AP Lit, AP French, AP Physics C E&M, and a high level mathematics class (that comes after AP Calc BC, traditionally the highest math offered at my school)

Extracurriculars:
Golf team: 10th-12th grade varsity
-Nothing special, just been on the team

Science Olympiad: 6th-12th grade
-This is my biggest activity. I have reached nationals twice, winning medals each time (I have a total of 3 national medals). I have won medals (including several golds) at every tournament I've been in, at the regional, state, national invitational, and national level. I have consistently been one of the best, if not the best member of my team, and this year was elected captain of the team.

International politics and debate club: 10th-12th grade
-I found that this was a great place to discuss my political beliefs, and grew to love the academic environment of the clubs. As a junior, I was the club secretary (3rd highest office), and as a senior, I will be club president (highest position). Last year, for the first time in years, we did organized trip, traveling to the State Department, and participating in a model UN summit.

School Newspaper: 11th-12th grade
-I've written for this a couple times as a junior, covering sports and local news.

Tutoring: 11th-12th grade
-I tutor elementary school students (as a volunteer) at an AME church in a not-so-great neighborhood. I do this once a week for ~1.5 hours.

Camp:
-I've been a camper since I was eleven, was a CIT when I was fifteen and sixteen, and this summer, was an actual counselor

The First Tee:
-This summer, I volunteered for 3 weeks at the first tee, an organization that improves the lives of children through golf.

Unofficial stuff:
-I play piano, and am an avid, very good, but not racing, skier.

Recognitions:
-NHS, will run for office
-National Merit Semifinalist (not sure if official yet, but it's a lock), likely finalist
-Some kind of AP scholar thing

Essays:
I'm a good writer, so they should be good

Recs:
From my AP Lang teacher, who really likes me, and his a great writer, and my AP Chem teacher, who is also a Science Olympiad coach, and really likes me. They should be good.

The Schools:
-HYP
-MIT
-Duke (legacy)
-Penn (legacy)
-UVA
-WUSTL
-Rice
-PSU Schreyer Honors
-Johns Hopkins
-Carnegie Mellon
-Pitt

I'll chance back if you take the time to chance me

Thanks in advance!

Your stats and test scores are amazing. You have a decent EC’s but nothing really stands out for HYPM.

I would say you have a decent chance at HYPM and you’re pretty much in everywhere else.

Stats look perfect! Good luck! (not that you need it.)

HYPM - Reach, but much better than average chances.
Wharton - Low Reach
JHU BME - Low Reach

Everything else - you will almost definitely get in, assuming that you write good essays

Also, be sure to check out the UPenn’s Jerome Fischer Management and Technology program.

Good Luck!

Thanks for all the helpful comments so far. I actually meant to include Fischer. It seems amazing but so impossible to get into.

Bump…will chance back!

Well your SATs are very good for those schools. However, you have very few APs (is that due to your school’s offerings?). None of your clubs stand out (you haven’t done anything amazing), which will hurt your chances for HYPMS. However, you’ll be fine for Duke and Wharton (if you ED Wharton). Actually, if you ED it, you should have a good chance at M&T at Wharton (you would probably like engineering and business).

The funny thing about the AP’s is that I’ve taken the most of just about anyone at my school…ever. Our selection is limited, and the opportunity is even smaller, as students at my school are typically not permitted to take AP classes before junior year.

Colleges will take that into account.

You’re also the first person that’s ever told me that I’ve taken too few AP’s. Even people from other (elite) schools from other states tend to think that 5 AP’s as a junior is a lot.

You definitely have a shot too all of those schools, Best of Luck!

i’ll have to politely disagree with kiddo64. i think that despite the fact that you don’t have a laundry list of ECs, the breadth makes up for it. you seem to be very involved in sci-oly and your politics club, and also you have volunteer work linked to one of your other activities, and i think colleges like to see that kind of continuity. it indicates a higher level of interest.

as for your stats, they are very impressive and will make you a competitive candidate at the higher reach schools on your list, e.g. HYP, MIT, etc. as for WUSTL, i know that they’re really big on demonstrated interest. just a tip for if/when you visit schools. best of luck. :)

Does anyone know what kind of merit aid these schools give? And if I might be considered?
Also, I wanted to throw Lehigh into the mix for the sake of this question

bump for the above question
