I want full scholarship, and I am very excited for this...</p>

<p>About me:
born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio, to a 16-year-old mother.. Is this a hook?
My biological father, Anthony McClelland, was an ex-convict who left Gloria to be a single mother.
How should I write this on common app?
Does counselor rec have enough space for this??</p>

<p>Maybe cover it on an essay? Is this a little bit hackneyed?</p>

<p>Academics:
-attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron</p>

<p>Honors:
-became a starter during his freshman year for the Fighting Irish
-averaged 21 points and 6.2 rebounds
-sophomore year, averaged 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.8 steals.
-was the first sophomore to be named Ohio's "Mr. Basketball" and became the first sophomore ever selected to the USA Today All-USA First Team.
-appeared in SLAM Magazine</p>

<p>Upward trend in stats:
junior year: stats improved again- averaged 29.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 3.3 steals and was again named Mr. Basketball of Ohio</p>

-and improved free-throw shooting (78.0%, a career-high, with league-leading 594 free-throws made).
-was the NBA Player of the Month four times :) Yes!!</p>

-Founded LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF), which empowers children and single-parent households through innovative programming and initiatives, strengthening the ties between family members and building hope through education, physical fitness, and better health for those dealing with adversity
-King for Kids Bike-A-Thon
-Visited Ed Davis Community Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and gave sweatshirts, along with $50.00 gift cards for KB Toys to more than one hundred children

<p>You were accepted to Miami Heat ED, but I think Chicago would’ve been the better match. Rose, Korver, Boozer, Noah, and you would’ve made a great incoming class. Your chances to shine (in order to receive great recommendations for grad school, of course) will be much more limited in Miami.</p>
