Please chance me. I'm applying to Bowdoin College (ED II), Northwestern (Weinberg), Middlebury, and Macalester. If you have any college suggestions, they would be appreciated. My GPA is a little low because I go to an incredibly difficult high school (Thomas Jefferson in Virginia, if you know it). I plan on majoring in government or international relations. Thanks so much!

Other:
Upper middle class, caucasian, male. My essays are really good and my recs should be amazing.

I can realistically see you getting into all your schools. I’ve looked into Thomas Jefferson before, and it definitely seemed extremely competitive. Overall, you are a highly competitive applicant.

You seem like a very intelligent and competitive applicant, inside and outside of the classroom. You have a great shot at every one of your schools! Best of luck, as this is such a stressful yet exciting time in the lives of us high school seniors.

Your EC’s and test scores look strong especially with all the 5’s. You show a lot of strength in your intended major and think that you are probably going to be a match for all of them.

Your stats and ECs are excellent. Your summer activities will also help. I wonder why you aren’t applying to Hopkins, since attending the summer program will greatly boost your chances of getting accepted.
I chance you as follows:
Bowdoin College-High match
Northwestern-Low reach
Middlebury-Low reach
Macalester-Low match

Thanks everyone! And as far as I know, I’m the only person applying to Bowdoin ED, Mac regular, and there are only a few people applying to Weinberg and Middlebury. Any more chances? I’ll chance back.

You are an extremely competitive applicant for all the schools you’re applying to! I’d say you have a fairly good shot at getting into all of them, good luck!

I am surprised you aren’t applying to more top tier schools. Anyways, I think you have great chances at all of the schools you listed. Northwestern might be a slight reach, but I can definitely see you being admitted.

I think you have a high chance in getting into most of your schools.
You have really good ECs, although, they seem a bit random from science to literature, but that’s okay. Just put a lot of passion into your field in your essay!

Besides that, your summer programs and testing scores are top notch!
Good luck!!

Might add Holy Cross-top25 LAC with a great Classics/Latin major. Holy Cross(don’t have to be religious) offers merit scholarships for Classics majors. HC offers great combination of academics/sports and competes against most ivies. HC also has tremendous alumni network and the website is informative.

Match on all of them, you seem like a very academically competitive student and you should probably look for some other schools that are more difficult to get into! Best of luck!
