Extracurriculars/Work/Volunteering
- 2-year varsity Lincoln Douglas debater, qualified to state, districts, UIL districts, invited to the Harvard Tournament, attended debate camp last year at University of North Texas and plan on going back this summer, varsity letter winner, highly ranked in the NSDA honors society, top 100 ranked in a district of 1600+, Executive council member, helped fund and run the largest debate tournament in Texas, making a run for president next year Involved in some other various clubs
- Employee at Spring Creek Barbeque, working about 20-30 hours a week. Been there for 8 months, planning on staying throughout the rest of high school
- Currently interning about 10 hours a week at a veterinary hospital with two notable veterinarians, both A&M Alumni.
- Peer tutor in multiple subjects, about 3 hours of that a week
- Established my local middle school's debate team, currently advertising for next year and talking with that middle's school administration into incorporating a debate class
- Volunteering with a local organization focused on assisting and mentoring underprivileged and maltreated kids, 5 hours every other weekend right now, plan on increasing that
- Model UN, first year
- NSHSS this year, NHS member next year
Other
I really shit the bed in my freshman and sophomore year. I did a lot of drugs and other bad things due to a lot of family issues, and had decent grades at best. I’ve since raised my GPA some but haven’t undone the damage yet. I’m trying my best to make up for it now.
I’m looking to major in Animal Science and got onto vet school or International Relations and go onto law school. Either way, got a lot of school and dollars to be spent ahead of me. I’m interested in Texas A&M, American University, Skidmore, Oberlin, Tulane, Ohio State, and Texas.
