I am currently a freshmen at a reputable university in PA. Due to multiple reasons, I have decided to apply to transfer to Rutgers as a Spring 2017 transfer (In-State) . Note: I was initially accepted for Fall 2016 when I applied as a high school senior
My high school stats: 3.55 GPA weighted (multiple AP and Honors classes), 1820 SAT (620 M, 600R, 600W) , some extracurriculars, volunteer work
I’m currently taking 15 credits at my current university and plan on passing all my classes. When I applied, I did not write the essay since it was basically the same prompt as the one I wrote for Fall 2016 and I was told they look at my previous application as well. Can someone tell me how good my chances are of acceptance?
Hi there, My daughter just applied to Rutgers as a sophomore transfer student for Spring 2017. She was accepted as a freshman but chose to go elsewhere but no regrets that decision… She is at a 4 year university in a different state and has made Deans List both semesters of her freshman year. Your stats are very good. My daughters GPA was 3.8 in high school but hr SAT scores were not as high as yours… Sounds like you find what they are looking for… Good luck! I certainly hope we hear soon… Is there some way we can stay in touch ? My email is Nachout818@aol.com
My daughter just applied to Rutgers for Spring 2017- She went from Montclair State to County College of Morris and now hopes Rutgers and follow in her sisters footsteps- Do you think they will hear soon? I know it says by Dec 5th bu hoping to hear much sooner- She unfortunately was waitlisted senior year- then went with Montclair State-
I know for a fact 2 students that applied as transfer for Fall 2016 with 2.8 GPA and both accepted-
That is cool. I also in a very reputed university in PA I applied for Rutgers as spring transfer 2017. I am a freshmen too.
My daughter just got her acceptance email last Sat= 2 weeks after applying for Spring 2017- GPA 3.2 from Montclair and County college of morris.
@RabbitLion @Nachout818 I’m not sure if you’re still active on this forum and sorry if this is weird but I’m currently a senior in High School and did not get into Rutgers. I will have 21 credits before going to community college as a freshman in the Fall. I will be taking 12 credits and then applying to transfer in the Spring. It’s possible to apply for spring as a freshman right? Also, do you have any advice?
