Chance me for Stanford! Ill chance back!

Hi I'm an Indian student currently in the IB (grade 12)

Predicted score of 42/42 in my IB. Subjects are Maths, Physics and Chem HL and English, Hindi and Economics SL.

SAT 1: 2260 superscore (Math:800, CR:720, W:740)
SAT 2: Math - 800. Physics, Chemistry and Literature - havent taken yet.

My class rank is 1 out of 70 students

I took 9 subjects at the IGCSE level and got all 9A*'s. Additional Maths was one of my subjects.

EC's:
Conducted a research project on Water Purification and wrote a project report. I'm aware of several water initiatives currently active by Princeton students so hopefully that helps

I also conducted research and wrote a paper on Nanotechnology and its application in water purification

I conducted a process optimisation study at a health care clinic and implemented methods to reduce patient cost and increase footfalls

I have been a member of the student council for 3 years now

I reached the world finals of The Odyssey of the Mind competition in Maryland in 2010.

I was the Head of Logistics at several MUNS and have also taken part as a delegate

I have attended and won many quizzes, all at an inter school level

Started the Engineering Club in my school and its done some really good work so far.

PLease please rate my chances for getting into Stanford, Columbia, CalTech, MIT and Penn Engineering!
Ill chance back!

Your scores are pretty good, especially your IB score. I think your ECs are pretty good. SEAS should be a low reach. CalTech is a match. MIT, Stanford, and Columbia as always are reaches.

Chance me back? Thanks: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1572861-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

If you aren’t asking for fin. aid, I’d say you’re in at Columbia and Penn Engineering. Stanford, CalTech and MIT are reaches for everyone, but you have an amazing app, so very good shot nonetheless.
If you are asking for fin. aid, it’s a whole other story.
I’m also applying to Columbia(ED) from India, please do chance me back  http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1572592-columbia-ed-top-state-schools-ea-chance-international.html</a></p>

Im not applying for financial aid, so thats good!

Btw, what is SEAS?

SEAS is Penn Engineering. Stands for School of Engineering and Applied Sciences I think.

Also, where are you ED/REA-ing? I’m assuming it’s Stanford, going by the title of this thread.
Hello from a fellow Indian MUNer! Can you tell me some conferences you’ve done?

Did you just say you reached the world finals for something? If thats a legit competition I’d say easy entrance into most unis.

where is your research project and paper?
can you PM the links please?

Stanfordmania: Im REA-ing at Princeton because I dont wanna risk the deferment from Stanford. Ive attended IIMUN, HMUN Boston 2013, HMUN India, ILMUNC, etc.

SaintYZ: Yeah Odyssey of the Mind. Its a legit competition, for sure. We stood first in India and reached the world finals.

Mathsoul: I havent postem them online, if you want I could send you the summary via email?

I think you are in at stanford.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1571620-will-i-get-into-any-these-transfer.html</a></p>

You have a great shot at both Stanford and Princeton, imo. Odyssey of the Mind and your research are two things that really stand out. REA to Stanford if that’s your ultimate dream.

“I reached the world finals of The Odyssey of the Mind competition in Maryland in 2010.”

Is this a big deal? Like Intel or IMO?

If not, you will be lucky to get into one of them on your list.

20more college admissions isn’t Intel or bust.

Odyssey of the Mind is a legitimate competition, comparable to Science Olympiad or Future Problem Solving in the sense that it isn’t, I believe, a one-man-effort like IMO or Intel/Siemens.

Your application is excellent, but you are competing with a very competitive pool of international applicants. I would say that you can probably get into to Penngineering, but Stanford and Princeton would be reaches. Caltech loves research, so your ECs help a lot there.

Back?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1508837-chance-princeton-upenn-jerome-fisher-ivies-etc.html</a></p>

You stand out pretty nicely!

Thanks all!

20more, I do believe OOTM is a big deal. It was quite difficult to qualify and took a lot of effort.

Could you all please rate my chances in terms of reach, match, etc?

Bump! Bump Bump!

Can more people please chance me??
