what are my chances of getting in the universities listed above

I think chance threads are kind of weird now that I have read all around this forum.
Academically: If you can get into premier Indian Universities, then you stand a chance at the US colleges as well.
But then, its all very random, it is just how well you present yourself on your application that matters. So take my advice and just work on looking unique, none of us are admission officers.

Ppaayas, I agree with you, Purdue is a great school! Purdue’s engineering is ranked 10 in the U.S! Don’t underestimate Purdue! There are lots and lots of people who gain significant ranks in life. For example, the first man ever landed on the moon, Neil Armstrong was an alumni of Aeronautical Engineering School of Purdue. Currently, there are also great researches being made at Purdue University. I know that Purdue has a higher acceptance rate compared to schools like MIT, because the most significant section of Purdue is engineering! If you are thinking of any kind of engineering, Purdue is a great school! There are lots of people who continue their education at top tier universities like MIT after BS degree from Purdue, including my elder brother. He is a professor at Purdue right now and he indicates that currently %95 of students are perfect. Therefore Purdue also has a vibrant student body.

Oops, looks like my second post didn’t make it here. Anyway Mrinal, what I meant by match was that the OP needn’t worry about Purdue. Also, looking at how GTech is accepting OOS students for the higher tuition, GTech shouldn’t be a problem as well.

Also, CMU is very academically oriented. Can you provide an opinion on this bist? You had more computers/CSc. related activities than the average CMU applicant, if I remember correctly.
