Here's as much information as I can provide. I come from quite a competitive school, and Stanford's my top college, but I feel like I'll never get there =/

GPA Unweighted: 4.0 Weighted: 4.613 (according to the staples calculator out of 5.0; our scale is a 6.0 scale where I have currently a 5.536)

Rank: 5/733 (Extremely competitive; really annoying)

SAT 1: 2310 (800 M, 730 CR, 780 W) SAT 2s: Math 2 (800), Bio (800), USH (800)

AP Classes: I've taken 10 AP classes so far, and will take 18 by the end of senior year (haven't gotten my results for this years exams but I expect 5s on the majority if not all of them); Am a AP National Scholar

9th Grade: AP Human Geo (5)
10th Grade: AP Biology (5), AP World History (5)
11th Grade: AP Calculus BC, APUSH, AP Physics B, AP Environmental Science, AP English 3, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Psychology
12th: AP Statistics, AP English 4, AP Government, AP European History, AP Comp Sci, AP Chemistry, AP Microeconomics, AP Art History

I took Spanish up to Spanish 3, but stopped from there (not sure if that affects anything)

I'm not sure if this helps but, in Junior year I got an A+ (97 or above) in every class for both semesters (except for physics in the 2nd semester; got a 95 2nd semester); I have only gotten an A- (90-93) in 2 classes (Alg 1 and Geometry); and generally the majority of my grades are A+s, with only a couple of As each year.

In School ECs (all I can think of for the Moment; nothing very impressive):

Chairman of the Renewable Energy Committee for the Sierra Club (Environmental Club); I'm in charge of the Solar Panel project (trying to create a large solar panel system for our school; we're starting senior year and making progress; allied with an Architecture Company); also in charge of a Conservation Lighting system project for our school (short term project, establishing a conservative lighting to save thousands of dollars in lighting for our school; hope to finish by fall)

Part of UIL Science Team Both 10-11th grade (only made it as far as Districts)
Part of the BPA since 10th grade: Made it to regionals in 10th, and was a state Finalist in 11th (Hoping to (probably will) be Treasurer in senior year)
Part of MUN since 11th Grade, went to Conferences (no awards)
Part of Generic clubs like NHS, and Math Club

Out of School ECs:

Shadowed a Doctor in the Summer of 2009 (somewhat of a informal mentor thing)
Also Volunteered in 2 Major Hospitals this summer (In Emergency Room and the Anesthesiology Department)
Also a major volunteer in a Charity Clinic (Clinic for those without Medical Insurance); volunteer as in actually do medical stuff not paperwork
Also Assistant/Volunteer/Informal Researcher in a major Autism Clinic
Also a Youth Board Member in the local city environmental organization (do local service projects and stuff)
I also play the Mridangum (a classical Indian Classical percussion instrument); playing for 7 years; I haven't played at major concerts/competitions (not very many opportunities) but I'm substantially good
Also Was a Science instructor in Local Arts of Science Program
I also learned Indian Vocal music for 9 years (sang at some recital-like concerts but no real competition)
Also Part of a Indian Sunday School program for 9 years, participating in numerous Service Projects

I was also part of My Swim Team for 2 years (10-11th, though I have to drop out this year; but only part of JV not Varsity)

As you can see, I'm Indian (unfortunately), and I'm not very confident of my chances. I'm hoping for my essays and interview/recommendations to help me through, but just wondering how I shaped up for Stanford SCEA?

Also, I was wondering how I'd be for Rice, Wash U, Harvard, Brown, and Princeton as well.

I'm much obliged for giving me your opinions and I will also chance other people if requested.

Please Chance me =) !
