Thanks for reading my post and I hope you take the time to CHANCE me! :)

I personally think you have a pretty good chance at an Ivy. Your research, in my opinion, is an amazing feat and your ECs have demonstrated, not only your academic and intellectual capabilities, but also your passion and love of your culture. Interning at any college, especially a prestigious one such as Stanford, is a plus. Moreover, your stats are amazing. You’re definitely a great match for Berkeley and a strong applicant for Stanford. No matter which school you attend, however, I’m sure you’ll excel. Good luck!

oh snap you’ve got great stats and EC’s! I completely agree with everything everyone above said. HYPSM are really random in decisions, but you have solid chances, and you’ll definitely get in most of the colleges on your list. If you don’t, i’m completely screwed haha

Should be able to get in to any of the UC’s. I think you have also got a great chance at CMU and Chicago if you write great application essays. The Ivies plus MIT and duke are a stretch for anyone so it’s impossible to tell.

your EC’s are really solid, and you have good GPA+SAT. I think the lack of AP’s is fine, b/c that depends on your school. Ivies are always a stretch but i think you have solid chance at everything else. The UC’s should be a breeze, and pretty good chance at MIT (since you come from cali)

I would consider UCSD and UC Davis real safeties. UCLA would be a high match. You should consider these schools, because considering that you come from Cali, you could get in for free.
U Chicago, with you math and science scores should also be a match. CMU also.
All other are HIGHLY selective, and if you didnt have those amazing ECs I would say you were just hitting the bar. But your ECs are really impressive. You have the grades for those schools, now its just getting a great, outstanding rec and memorable letters. Senior to senior, good luck!

Your scores / GPA / ECs all look stellar; definitely a top-notch applicant anywhere. Being an ORM will work against you but just slightly. Try to get a letter of recommendation from whoever you work with at the Stanford lab, that will look very good. I think you’ll get into everywhere for sure except for UPenn and Stanford. Assuming you’re applying to the CAS at UPenn and not one of the specialized CS double major things, I think you’ll get in. Stanford is iffy for anyone but you’ve got a great shot.

Uh… To two posters above UChicago>CMU in selectivity and is probably going to be as selective as Penn and Duke next year, if you don’t already consider it so even though it is only 1-2% higher an admittance rate. It is a reach for anyone.

I think you have a good shot at any of these schools, but since you have top stats and great EC’s it will come down to your essay, letters of rec., interview.

Thanks guys for the feedback! I’ve now realized that UCs are my safety schools and I’m prolly gonna do UChicago or Duke ED. Also I’ve chanced everyone! If anyone else wants to get chanced, chance me first and ill be more than happy to chance you too :D

haha you didn’t say “chance back” or anything when you chanced me so I went on your profile

your gpa+sat scores look solid, and your ec’s are great. getting a patent or an awesome research paper would definitely help your chances. although ivies (along with stanford and mit) are always reaches, i wouldn’t be suprised if you got into at least one or a few of them. good luck!

“You’ll get into everything for sure except Stanford. HYPSM are reaches for everyone.”

Correct, HYPSM are high reaches for everybody.
But, get into everywhere else?
You will change your mind once you go through an admission cycle.
Top 10-15 colleges are reaches for almost everybody.

Obviously nothing is set in stone, but based on the stats and EC’s of previous acceptances from my school, I know I’m almost gauranteed all the UCs. In addition, my stats compared to previous admits show that I have a very strong chance at Cornell and Northwestern. Everything else is very competitive and/or subjective. For colleges outside the top 10, it is actually quite easy to predict if someone will get in or not.
