I’m pretty confident you’ll get in to all of the schools. Stanford though, im not so sure. They’re acceptance rate is just so random I can’t tell.

@musicnerd1 thankssss!
@IVCUSA11 thanks, I second your opinion.

Stanford’s my dream school as well haha… People have told me matches for all the UC’s and a reach for stanford…

I’m guessing that all the UC’s will be safeties for you, and stanford will definitely be within reach.

All my stuff is a tier below your stuff (3.9UW 2290SAT 760-800 SAT2’s all 5’s except for 1 4) I think you’re excellent and I wouldn’t be suprised if you got in :O.

My friend who got in this past year had really similar stats to you although he was a white male with double legacy status. He got in fine SCEA. I think your stats are actually a bit better than his.

@StanfordWOW yay!!! Thanks for chancing me :). Im applying for SCEA, and people have told me my stats are great, but ECs aren’t distinct enough. Congrats to your friend, IMO double legacy does help a bit! Good luck to you too. Let’s keep in touch ^_^.

i’d say you have a shot.
go for that

Hey there-- thanks for chancing me!

Wow, your stats are on point. Excellent GPA, SAT/SAT II scores, and rigorous courseload. Number-wise, I’d say you are an extremely strong applicant.

EC’s are really good-- you have quite a lot of leadership roles! You show interest in pre-med through your volunteer work, medical club and research experience. It would be even better if you could volunteer at the Stanford hospital as that would both demonstrate your interest in Stanford while adding to your medical-related EC’s.

With your stellar stats, you’ll definitely get into UC Davis, and probably UC Berkeley and UCLA. As with everyone, Stanford is a reach. Focus on your essays, let your personality and passion shine through and you’ll have a great shot. I really hope you get into your dream school-- best of luck in all your future endeavors.

I think your stats are outstanding and you are a highly qualified applicant for Stanford. However, I think an overlooked factor, especially since you’re from the Bay Area, is the competition of those from your school or from surrounding schools. How big is your high school, and how many people apply to Stanford? This can play a big role in whether you are admitted. I have a friend from the Bay Area who was rejected from Stanford with perfect stats last year (actually perfect–2400 SAT, 4.0 GPA, great EC’s, etc etc). However, there was a lot of competition from her selective public high school, which may have been a reason for her decision. She ended up going to Harvard, so she was by no means unqualified, but you should definitely check out your competition pool. That being said, applying restricted EA to Stanford can help to reduce the competition slightly (although my friend did apply EA). Other than that, I think you have a better than average shot with your stats, but you still need to get excited about your other options. I wish you luck!

Also, no school really has a pre-med major, but I’m sure you know that already. It’s just a set of requirements you have to take for med school.

@Dream0n UC Berkeley: match
UC Davis: match
Stanford: low reach

You look so good! I love how even though you have only a few ECs, they’re quite concentrated. You could see that mine were all over the place. This shows that you know what you want to do and you’re interested in doing it (judging from the time periods). I think you have a pretty good chance at Stanford. I have a family friend that goes there for some type of engineering and his scores and ECs were way below yours. I think you should take advantage of your application and finish it off with a compelling story from the hospital or one of your EC experiences. Best of luck to you!!!

Your testing scores and ECs definitely meet Standford standards. You just need to set yourself apart in your essays and you should have a good chance! I think UCLA and UCB are matches. UCD is safety/low match.

Congrats on those scores btw!

@teastraw thank you!
@lumilie thank you for your insight/recommendation!
@bamboo17 from my school,I don’t think there are many people applying, but from the Bay Area, who knows! And yes, I will be applying REA! Thanks for helping
@alwayssona thanks you, and yes I have planned to write something about my hospital experiences! Good luck to you too!

@germangirl123 thank you!

Honestly everything from grades to ECs seem solid. You have a very good chance of getting in, but you must realize that it comes down to almost chance. I had two friends, both with almost your exact resume coincidently (in regards to test scores, APs, and even some extracurriculars) who applied to Stanford. One got in, one didn’t. So it comes down to timing and luck in reality. But that said, I believe you’ve down pretty much everything you can to make it in, and you stand a very, very good chance.

@Midwestside Thank you

thanks for chancing me. can other ppl do the same: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1674689-chances-at-bs-md-programs.html#latest
Thanks in advance!!!
u seem like as good a candidate a school like stanford will get. ec’s r a bit weak and its a bit late to do summer programs but try to get a research position during the school year and get a quick publication if possible.
other than that, u seem awesome!

Wow you’ve got excellent stats!
I don’t think UCLA and Davis will be a problem for you. You’ll definitely get in!
Berkeley should be bit of a high match; and you’ll need to be a compelling applicant on the paper to get in to Stanford.
Good luck with the essays! :D

You have a very, very strong chance at Berkeley and Davis. Stanford is tricky since the admission rate is low but you should definitely still apply. Congrats on your impossibly high GPA, scores and ecs. I wish my stats were as great as yours. But anyways, good luck and hopefully your dream of getting into Stanford becomes a reality.

You have very strong EC’s, however compartmentalization of passion is key. Try to group your EC’s and from there rationalize why they matter to you. This will ensure a candid and much respected letter. Good luck!

Thanks for chancing me! Everything seems solid, from your ECs to AP courses. Getting a 5 on every test will really help you stand out. Your volunteering is pretty good and badminton will definitely we helpful. Good luck!
