<p>essay was what character do i relate with. i chose Randle McMurphy from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. i talked about how we both went into the mental hospital and how i accept myself and love myself more than ever and how i've been overcoming my Borderline Personality Disorder</p>
<p>i had a personal statement saying how my depression affected my junior year and how i had to put school aside and work on my mental health. that year i went into the mental hospital twice</p>

<p>Well your GPA seems to be decent but the 25-75% range for ACTs is 27-31 in NYU so that is a bit below par, but now by much. Perhaps you should take SAT IIs to compensate. Also it may put up a red flag to colleges if you say you are a mental patient. Overall I think it is a reach/low reach for you. Make sure your essays are superb!</p>
<p>Also, does your school offer APs? Because your senior year course load doesn’t seem as rigorous with cooking, poetry, sociology and anthropology.</p>

<p>I’m also volunteering and teaching Dialectical Behavioral therapy skills to kids 9-13. It’s the type of therapy I want to get into so hopefully it will help</p>
