Gender: Male
School: Very competitive public school, one of the best in the state
Rank: School doesn't record rank
GPA: Should be 92 W by the end of this year. My school only records weighted GPA on a 100 point scale. AP courses have the same weight as honors courses. Steady upward trend.
SAT: 2150/1400. Curve was really harsh though, so I lost a lot of points for math and reading. Retaking in June and expecting a 2300+.
SAT II: Chem - 800 Math IIC - 800 Bio M - TBA
ECs:
-Concert pianist, played in Carnegie Hall, invited to Vienna and Paris to play amongst students from all around the world, passed Grade 8 ABRSM, been teaching piano since Sophomore year.
-Violin player in school orchestra since 4th grade, chamber orchestra senior year, been playing in an ensemble group since freshman year
-MUN starting Junior Year
-President and founder of the Hip-Hop Dance Club
-Environmental work - 5 years
-200+ volunteer hours at a Chinese school
-Organized many fundraising events for the Chinese school
Essay: Going to spend a lot of effort on it. Expecting a great one because I consider myself a decent writer.
Recs: Excellent. Most of the teachers I have in mind really like me. </p>
