Everything looks good so far. You’re GPA is somewhat low… does your school rank? Also, did you take the SAT’s? your act scores are fine, but I have the feeling that NYU prefers SAT scores.

As a side note: Don’t put that you daytrade (as it is somewhat frowned upon in the investment community, even though I used to do it in the summer also). Just instead put that you “invest” in stocks and in the forex and that you actively manage your own portfolio.

Yeah, GPA’s a bit low. I’m actually curious to know why you didn’t take the normal SAT…?

my rank is around 150/400, the school itself doesn’t weight

I got a

770 math, 730 critical reading, 690 writing, so a 2190 total

I didn’t put it down originally because my ACT score is higher once converted, I think

thanks, nyrablu and scorp

actually, your sat score is higher according to collegeboard: <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

I got in ED with a lower sat I score: 770 M, 720 CR, 650 W

Hey…!! My SAT is 2190 as well, 750M 750WR 690R, and I got in ED as well. I’m also Korean. The only thing that could really hurt you is the GPA. I had sports, but you have tons more EC’s, so depending on what NYU likes, I guess it could go either way…

Which actually leads me to ask a general question: Does NYU care about HS sports that much?

Honestly, I don’t think that NYU values high school sports over any other similar significant extracurricular activity.
