Remeber this is for summer not for fall!

Oh and I submitted 4 recommendation letters that were FANTASTIC! Chance me?

Wow, your ECs are really good and you have a lot of advanced high school courses as well. I think you have a great shot for Summer, but you might want to consider taking the ACT/SAT once more and scoring a bit higher. Best of luck!

By the way, UF does not read Letters of Recommendation.

Notwithstanding your other accomplishments, I think your test scores are too low, and I would take all the standardized tests again. Given all the AP courses you are taking, it is surprisingly your standardized tests are not higher. UF is HARD to get into. Every good student in the entire state of Florida is applying there. I don’t think you can relax, and assume you will get in. I say this because my son has similar grades, but much higher standardized tests, and the fancy private counselor we hired for him does NOT consider him a shoe-in (his ECs are not that strong, however). If we knew he was a shoe-in, that would make life easier, because he wouldn’t have to apply to as many colleges as he is currently planning on applying to.

I think you need to get closer to a 28 on the ACT. And break 600’s on the SATs. That is certainly an achievable goal for you.

Retaking the ACT or SAT is completely up to you if YOU feel uncertain.

Your test scores are pretty solid and your EC’s make up for anything else that can keep you away. UF looks at each student as a whole, looking for more well rounded students then JUST test scores. Just make sure your essay is solid and you got this!

I think your ECs are great. Your test scores are similar to my daughter’s and she got in. The main thing drawing you down is your GPA. Is that your UF GPA using their calculation? If it was 4.0 or above you’d be in much better shape.

Unfortuantely they don’t look at rec letters.

You can listen to other people say that they also got in with low scores but thats a gamble of long odds. there is 30 times as many people with low scores that didnt get in. Is that your weighted gpa? If it is you need to do as floridadad said and try to get near a 28 on act or 600s on sat. If not any improvment helps. Im not saying you wont get in, IM just saying i personally wouldnt want to regret not do something earlier if i got a rejection letter
