I talked about obvious language barriers and how it was hard learning english, but I've taken those skills acquired to learn a third language, French. I also talk about specific Swarthmore research and professors whose research i'm interested in.

Also, can anyone tell me how much URM status helps in Swat admissions?

I have visited and it is gorgeous by the way.

I think your chances are pretty good. Being an under represented minority helps quite a bit. Your ACT could use a bit of work and your GPA is frankly very low, but going to the TOC will help you quite a lot. Swat loves debaters. If you get in and decide to come to swat you should definitely check out the Peaslee debate team, it is awesome!

Haha I wrote about Peaslee on my essay :P… Already on it :)

bumppp

GPA: 3.58 Weighted,

Your GPA is very low for such an elite school. I realize others will want to tell you to be optimistic, and you should be, but Swarthmore is definitely a reach. There are plenty of URMs with high GPAs.

On the positive side, you have done well on your AP exams so you have that going for you.

Best of luck.
