Notes:
I still have a while before I apply for college so I would appreciate if yall would drop some tips in the comments? What can I improve on? What’re some good summer programs? Help a sis out yall!

ACT aint that high. Maybe raise it a little. Also, your weighted GPA is pretty low compared to others.

ECs aren’t anything too special and the nonprofit that teaches girls to code is really cliche. There are many other programs out there that already accomplish that goal. Also what grade are you in?

Some of your colleges are questionable for CS. Upenn does not have a very good CS program, the same with Yale. What I suggest is don’t focus on colleges too much now. Just keep getting good grades and study for SAT/ACT tests.

@nomansland
Agreed

I wouldn’t think of Notre Dame and Chicago as typical schools for CS. And not Barnard either.

Too many reaches on the OP’s list. And all prestigious schools. Some research needs to be done.

UW-Madison has a highly rated EECS program and that is not a safety.

Asian female is not one of the better demographics for CS, although better chances than Asian male. You will need more eyepopping ECs unfortunately and higher standardized test scores than the norm.

Wisconsin’s engineering admit rate is close to 50%. She’ll be accepted.
