Chance me for TAMS?

Hello, I am a sophomore in FriscoISD and I am planning to apply regular/late decision for TAMS, but I’m not sure if I have the things I need to get in.

My grades in middle school were all A’s, most classes being about a 95+ with an exception of Spanish 1 being a 92.

My grades in 9th grade were, both semesters 1 and 2 were:

Pre-AP Spanish 2 - 97, 97
Orchestra - 98, 98

AP human geography - 95, 95
GT Humanities - 91, 97

My grades in the first semester of 10th grade took a slight dip, took 4 more AP’s

AP Biology - 96
AP Physics 1 - 92
Pre-AP English 2 - 91
Pre-AP Pre-calculus - 93

The biggest issue I’m facing is SAT/ACT. Due to covid, I haven’t been able to take any sort of act/sat and don’t have a score to submit, and I’m not particularly confident I can take and get a good score before about late admission. If it’s possible for TAMS to take into account my Psat score from sophomore year then It might work out, with no sat/act and the discontinuation of subject tests I don’t have any standardized test scores to submit.

PSAT-1460/1520

SAT practices - range from 1400-1500, average closer to the low 1400 range
ACT - I average about a 33-34

I think this might cause me not getting into TAMS, i heard tams prioritizes regional diversity and Frisco is definitely one of the more competitive districts, and I lack standardized test scores except the PSAT. If TAMS takes into class rank I am not at a great standing either, I would like to say my school is rather competitive and my grades put me in about the top 40 out of 600, excluding my recent grade slips at the start of sophomore year, which may as well put me out of the top 10%. On top of that if I do end up taking an SAT/ACT to submit, I will have to apply during late decision, which may harm my chances. With all of these is it still feasible to make it into TAMS?

tams admissions are a holistic process. Just don’t mess up the interview. Also, don’t bomb the SAT or ACT. Practice is great but the real thing can be very different. Just apply and see how u do

I don’t know what you’ve already done or not done for the interview, but I’d definitely say you have a good shot! And seriously, don’t worry about the SAT/ACT it’s not required for your app this year and they’re not going to penalize you or anything if you don’t submit a score.
