Course Rigor: Have or will have taken highest level Math courses and many Science Courses available in my school (AP Calc BC, Physics 1 and 2, etc). Took regular level English and History freshman year, moved to honors sophomore year and then took AP. Regular level Spanish all 4 years. Regular Orchestra first 2 years, moved up to more advanced orchestra Junior Year. Senior Year I will be taking 5 AP courses (BC Calc, Stat, Econ, Physics 2, Lit/Comp), making a total of 8 APs.
AP (place score in parenthesis): APUSH (5), Lang/Comp (5). Hope to get 5s on the next 5 Tests this year.
Extracurriculars: Math National Honors Society (11th, 12th), National English Honors Society (10th, 11th, 12th), Science National Honors Society (11th, 12th), Math League (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th), Investments Club (11th, 12th).
Fencing: Began in 8th grade outside school, was on high school JV team 9th and 10th grade, Varsity 11th and now 12th.
Orchestra: Have played the Violin since 4th Grade, now am in school’s advanced ensemble.
Volunteer/Community service: 204 Hours at local hospital over the course of 1 school year and 2 summers.
Work Experience: Summer Internship - This is very unique to me because I did this in at my dad’s office in India and the US. I went through Intern training in India, and am currently doing Intern work for my dad’s company in America. Total Internship will last for 6 weeks, and is paid. What made this special to me is that I got to experience the different office dynamics between two very different countries. Business has become a globalized phenomenon in the last decades, so I felt that this experience was crucial for me to better understand the business world.
