Chance me for Tepper Please

Well as the title states, I am applying to Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business. I visited the school, talked to admissions and had a meeting with the director of undergraduates for tepper(in fact it was a one on one meeting that went over 2 hrs). I'm in love with Pittsburgh, and CMU, and now I am applying ED2 as a senior(deadline is DEC 1).

Sat I(superscore): 700 CR 790 M 680 W 9/12 Essay
Sat II: 760 Math II 660 Physics
GPA: around 3.5(I know it is on the low end, but I attend one of the most competitive schools in New York)
High School is regularly ranked among the top 50 public schools in America
Extracurricular
- Part of the school's cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams since sophomore year
-worked over 200 hrs in a political campaign
-worked for the city's department of education financial division
-helped and graded elementary school homework
Alumni Interview: I really connected with my guy(he just graduated this may from tepper). We talked for almost an hour and a half about Carnegie Mellon and Wall street(he is currently working as a trader in a bank, and I am also taking a Wall Street class in my school). He basically said he would be very suprIsed if I didn't get in. Hopefully he isn't getting my hopes up.

Also I have pretty good teacher recommendations and my employer for my campaign job wrote me a very enthusiastic rec.
I’m also an asian male too.

GPA is pretty low and isn’t counterbalanced with the expected 800 Math (on either the SAT I or II). Stats matter when you’re an Asian Male :(

I’m not saying you don’t have a chance - it /is/ easier to get in ED - but Tepper will get quite competitive because the class size this year is over the expected amount (read: adcom can afford to be picky.)

To be honest, I feel like 790 for math section is good enough. Based on what I know, getting an 800 would not have done much anyway. What really kills me is my GPA, but my second term junior year grades(with the exception of french) were relatively high. Yes, I know its really tough to be an Asian male, but I can’t really complain about it :frowning: But thank you for your response, quick question are you currently attending Carnegie Mellon right now? And if so what college and major?

bumppppppp

Yep, I’m attending CMU @ Tepper, lol.

This is crazy, I have heard several EDII students getting in already and that is making me anxious. Can any accepted ED Tepper students tell me their statistics please?
