Chance me for Texas A&M Spring Transfer

Texas A&M University
First choice major: Telecommunication Media Studies (B.S) College of Liberal Arts
Second choice major: Sociology, College of Liberal Arts

Currently a sophomore at the University of North Texas

GPA: 3.4, 28 hours (possibly 25 if my art doesn't transfer) graded.
Currently enrolled in 12 hours, Math 141 and 142 which is important to A&M..
3.0 (12 hours) fall 2012 semester, then 4 A's and 1 B in the Spring, so I did much better.
I work 20 hours a week and am a full time student. Not much EC's in high school, just did wrestling for 3 years. Worked all of high school.

My essay is very strong. Also I will be sending in two letters of recommendation, I just applied last Thursday.

I hear the College of Liberal Arts isn't very difficult to get into. I applied for this fall, last year as an engineering major. I did not have any of the pre reqs done, I had no idea about the pre reqs. I no longer wish to be an engineer though.

Should I change my second choice major to English? Reqs are atleast 24 hours of transferable courses with atleast a 2.5, telecommunications is the same but with a 3.0. Sociology doesn't state what GPA.

Thanks!

anyone have an input?

Anyone at all?

last bump for today…

No need to change the second major to English; I saw some people getting into Sociology with 3.2 as transfers… hence you will likely get into Sociology. For telecomms, take my verdict with a grain of salt.

TAMU telecomm: Match
TAMU sociology: Low match

What do you mean by “take my verdict with a grain of salt”?
