Chance me for Texas A&M

Senior from Texas that attends a public school

Class Rank: 142/559 = 25.4%
SAT Scores: 1850 (600 m, 580 cr, 670 w)
ACT Score: 29 (28 E, 29 M, 31, R, 24 S, 26 W) I'm mad at myself because I was so close to automatic admit (30 on ACT). I know I could have scored a lot better on science, but I stopped trying and daydreamed. It was in December, too, so it was too late to take another test.

Extra curriculars:

Track 4 years: captain
Cross country 4 years: captain
PALS
NHS 2 years
HOSA 2 years
DECA 2 years
Red cross chapter 2 years: vice president

122 hours of volunteering

Awards and honors:
District Champion in 3200 m run
Academic Excellence
Some orchestra award
Homecoming King
Class Favorite

I said on my application that I interested in their corps of cadets. I submitted my application on 1/12/2009 which is kind of close to the deadline.

So...what are my chances? Any input would be greatly appreciated

From what I've heard of A&M (my cousins live in Texas), I would say that you're in. Your rank and test scores are not bad at all and your ECs are excellent. And, most importantly, you're in-state.

definitely in, no doubt about it, guaranteed definitely.

Thanks but I've heard they've been making a lot of sketchy decisions recently.

I forgot to add that my GPA is a unweighted 3.5/4.0, and weighted 4.8/6.0
